The IBEW Founders’ Scholarship honors the dedicated wiremen and linemen who founded the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Each year the officers of the IBEW are pleased to offer its working members scholarships on a competitive basis.
IBEW Local 134 and the Electrical Contractors Assciation sponsor apprenticeship programs in Cook County, Illinois through the Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Trust (EJATT). EJATT has permission from the U.S. Department of Labor to open registration for new applicants for its Communiction Program.
Beginning January 1, 2019, Participants with HRA balances will be eligible to request reimbursement for Qualified Medical Expenses* for themselves and their covered dependents provided they are covered by the EIT Construction Health & Welfare Plan (active, COBRA or Retiree coverage).
Participants will have 365 days to submit any claims incurred on or after January 1, 2019.
Applications for this year's William A. Lee Memorial Scholarship are now available on our website (www.chicagolabor.org/scholarship). The CFL will award 10 college scholarships, valued at $2,000 each, to 10 high school seniors. Please share this information with your members!
The applicant must be a senior in high school and graduating in the spring of 2019.
We are pleased to announce that applications for the 2019 Electrical Industry Scholarships are now available. A total of two scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $5,000 per year for up to four years for the individual’s undergraduate degree.
