At the IBEW NECA Technical Institute, we are constantly striving to offer the best training for our members. In pursuit of a better-trained, superior-quality workforce, IN Tech is proud to offer two new certification classes, both for the upcoming fall session of night school classes. These classes are available for both A and C card Journeypersons and Apprentices. 

Fiber Optic CFBT (Corning Fiber Broadband Technician):

• In the expanding world of data-driven technology, communication using fiber optics has become a critical backbone. This course will prepare students to perform hands-on fusion and mechanical fiber splicing and practice various types of fiber optic termination techniques. Students will perform fiber testing with the latest in handheld optical test equipment. Students will receive CFBT certification upon successful completion of the course and final exam.

CCST Networking Essentials (Cisco Certified Support Technician)

• Whether in business, education, or your personal life, efficient access to high-speed data has become integral to success. This course prepares the student to understand, install, and maintain data networks at the foundational level. System architecture, component functionality, and Internet Protocol are only some of the topics covered. Upon successful completion of the course, students will take the Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Networking Exam. The CCST Networking Certification is a lifetime certification.
