  • Midwest Coalition of Labor
    Updated On: Jul 03, 2019

    Brothers and Sisters,

While Organized Labor continues to fight for the middle class, Local 134 IBEW will continue to strive to make things better for our Membership. Your Local 134 administration takes great pride in the work we do to improve our members’ lives with the benefits we so greatly deserve. We are pleased to share with you some additional new benefits that are free to you and your family as dues-paying members of Local 134 IBEW.

We have built a coalition of unions and with our purchasing power, we have driven down prices from benefit providers which allows us to provide these new benefits at no cost to you. In addition to Local 134, this group, the Midwest Coalition of Labor (MCL) includes the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150, the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 399, the LIUNA Chicago Laborers’ District Council and the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters. The Midwest Coalition of Labor will consist of more than 100,000 working men and women from around the Chicagoland area.

As more Unions join the MCL we will continue to add members-only benefits. Union membership is the last line of defense for the hard-working men and women of our great Local and all Organized Labor. We are happy to partner with these great organizations and we look forward to watching the membership grow in the coming months. For more information on these benefits visit coalitionoflabor.org .

    In Solidarity,

    Donald Finn
    Business Manager / Financial Secretary
