  • Pandemic Update April 13th (13th Edition)
    Posted On: Apr 13, 2020

    Brothers and Sisters,

I have spoken with International President Lonnie Stephenson and International Vice President David Ruhmkorff over the weekend. Both have told me the National Disease Response Agreement (NDERA) will remain in place UNTIL termination by one of two methods as provided in the Agreement. 1.) “The parties may mutually terminate this agreement anytime...” OR 2.) “Either party May unilaterally terminate this agreement by providing at least a 90-day written notification....”  Let me be clear,  President Stephenson has said and I quote “This Agreement will be in place until the COVID 19 Pandemic is behind us.” With that being said Brothers and Sisters, I am not in favor of temporary agreements that supersede our Collective Bargaining Agreement. While I have spoken to many Members concerning this agreement, whether for it or against it, President Stephenson has the final word.

Due to the high number of recent SUB fund applications there has been a significant uptick in Member data entry errors for the SUB/IDES self-certification process. These data entry errors cause a delay in Members receiving their SUB benefits. Hopefully this link will help: SUB APPLICATION HELPFUL TIPS

Please use this link the next time you self-certify for your SUB benefit on this site: SELF CERTIFICATION. Remember ON-LINE SELF CERTIFICATION is the only way to process your IDES information. You CANNOT fax or email.

Local 134 will continue to keep the Membership informed and WE will get through this together. Stay Safe, Stay Strong, Stay 134 Strong.

    In Solidarity,

    Don Finn
    Business Manager/Financial Secretary
